Big screen version of 24 gets a green signal!
Now, this is something, which will certainly bring smile on the faces of millions of show lovers.
Since 24 series ended its run earlier this year, there was that cloud of uncertainty hovering over the prospect of a movie on the action extravaganza.
But friends the wait is finally over because latest report confirmed that the movie would go for production in April next year.
Kiefer Sutherland, the actor who ruled the small screen for back-to-back eight seasons donning the avatar of secret agent for Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU), will be seen reprising his role in the upcoming movie.
Rumor has it that the production date for the movie is scheduled for April next year to make room for the star.
Well, I guess delay is better than a complete no, no.
Fans have waited long enough in anticipation of the movie after the end of 24 episodes. Therefore, it won’t be a big deal if they are made to wait for some more months.
I however would like to say that if in any case the forthcoming production were disrupted, then many of the die-hard fans would lose hope.
After all, there is a question of playing with the patience level of the entertain mongers. I guess, 20th Century Fox has realized that fact, and it’s ready to wrap up the production of the film ASAP.
The action drama that chronicled the adventures of Jack Bauer (the secret agent) round the clock was certainly a smash hit. And it’s expected that the movie version of the show will follow suit.
Well, it’s too early to have a verdict on it. After all, it would take a lot of effort from the production unit to match the glory of the show.
Sutherland will be there to entice the viewers with his breath-taking stunts as agent Jack Bauer. But it will be interesting to see how many of the show cast members qualify for the movie version.
That apart, it remains to find out if it contains a major twist, something that we hadn’t witnessed in the show.

Ace actor, Kiefer Sutherland is quite dynamic, as he is good with transitions.
But he is not making any confessions as such!
The Confession is a new web series, which will have Keifer as a major character.
I love the way he quickly adapts to any kind of stage – be it TV or silver screen or a web series. Only a seasoned actor is capable of something like that!
His latest venture will be showcased in Canada. The web series will have 10-parts and is all set to air on a popular website. Kiefer will portray the character of a hit-man, who wants to change his heart.
It’s during Christmas that he discovers that whatever he has done in the past, was wrong.
Kiefer’s character will pay the church a visit and will confess his misdeeds to a priest.
Another veteran actor, John Hurt, will be seen portraying the character of the holy man. As the confession session progresses, which is presented through a series of flashbacks, they both learn that they are much more complex, than what they appeared to be initially.
Each episode is just five to nine minutes long.
I am amazed at how an actor can present all what he or she is capable of, in like five minutes.
But, you know what; The Confession has been pretty successful!
The web series was launched in March for the US audience and was showcased on a popular American website. For three months, it was featured as one of the most subscribed series!
We all know Kiefer as Jack Bauer from the popular series 24. Jack and the counter terrorism unit strive to protect America and its citizens from potential terrorist threats.

You must have heard the news of Sutherland making a comeback on small screen with a new supernatural show, titled ‘Touch’.
The show has role for him as a caring father to a gifted child, which is poles apart from what we had seen in action-packed series 24.
Fox Network’s political thriller made its exit from TV quite a long time ago. And since then, we haven’t seen anything from the flamboyant star.
Keeping that fact in the mind, I am sure Sutherland would like to bank on the yet-to-release show. But, will fans accept him in this softer avatar?
Of course, the sci-fi mixed family drama has a compelling plot. But at the end of the day, it would depend on the actor to camouflage the transition from a special agent to a responsible father, with his acting.
24 episodes have earned him the glory he deserved. And I must say that Touch has brought an opportunity to win back his lost glory.
Though it’s not yet revealed whether the supernatural show would have action sequences or not, I am sure if any situation arises, Sutherland wouldn’t say no to put on his adventure shoes. And his hand would be itching to have a go at it!
I think, you must have felt an urge to catch the mystery show, right now. Well folks, the release date for the same is fixed for next year, therefore you have to be a bit patient for Sutherland’s new avatar.
Apart from the change he brings in him, what I am interested to see is if he fits into the bracket of calm and complacent actors. (24 series has almost made him the lord of action on small screen.)

It is my pleasure to announce the name of the diva, who landed a chance to play a role in the shortest yet one of the most touching tales of Shakespeare. But before disclosing that diva’s name, let’s play a small quiz!
I’m sure you read Shakespeare, so tell me the name of his shortest tragedy?
Let me tell you it is not, Othello, Hamlet, or Antony and Cleopatra.
What? Did I hear Macbeth?
Yes, you guessed it right!
And the diva, who recently played in Macbeth’s Broadway adaptation is none other than Reiko Aylesworth.
This 90-minute altered version of Macbeth took place at New Salem State Historic Site, Petersburg. I’m sure her fans can do anything to catch her in a momentous role.
You may not know, but the actor has also garnered name and fame as a theatrical performer.
In the earlier days of her life, she gave many performances in Springfield’s local theatres.
Since 1988, she has been entertaining everyone through her Broadway projects. These include The Gut Girls, One Hundred Gates, Peter Pan, Humpty Dumpty and others.
To be very honest, I’ve seen her theatrical performances, but I’m deeply in love with her performance in 24 episodes. Her role in this series was truly remarkable and gave her a chance to fly high in the acting world.
Coming back to her upcoming Broadway performance, she shared the stage with the famous actors such as Kevin Purcell, Rob Clare, Jonah Walker and others.
She not only mesmerized the audience with her charismatic performance, but also gave a tribute to the great playwright and poet, Shakespeare.

Keifer Presents Bozello Courage Award!
It was the ESPY awards and it was the night of July 13. It was a very special night for two men!
Actually, it was a very special night for every person, who received an award that night, but for two individuals, it turned out to be extra special!
Who are these two individuals? They are: Dewey Bozello, the recipient of the Ashley Ashe Courage Award and Keifer Sutherland, the man who… I will hold onto the information!
Dewey spent 26 years in prison and he was put behind the bars for a crime he did not commit! It is truly something that raises the level of respect for the man in our heart!
Now you may ask that the night was indeed very special for Dewey but why did I mention Keifer here?
Keifer Sutherland was the man who presented Dewey with the Courage Award by coming on stage and honoring the great man.
Through this, he has become a part of something extremely important. This was a very special moment, and to be a part of it would indeed remain with Keifer as one of the very special moments for him!
Also, to be in the company of someone so great works wonder for your personal self as well! You get to learn many important human aspects. The twice divorced actor had been dating the Allure magazine’s style director for the last three years. Now, all of sudden, the couple put an end to their relation without giving any reason for the split.

It seems as if Kiefer, 44, was not at all keen to take this relation to the next level.
