Well, the latest and most exciting buzz about 24 TV show is that series would return with the eighth season on January 17, 2010. Whenever any series returns with a new season, fans are dished out some surprises e.g. some new faces join the show and some regular names are cut from the list. 24, not being an exception, is also ready with its own surprises for the audience for the upcoming eighth season of the show. The other new cast member is Freddie Prinze Jr. who would be seen portraying the character of Cole Ortiz. Among the rest of the star cast are Mykelti Williamson as new honcho, Brian Hastings; John Boyd as a system analyst; Chris Diamantopoulos as the President’s new Chief of Staff; and Jennifer Westfeldt would be seen as an ambitious journalist. An Indian actor, Anil Kapoor would also make appearance portraying the character of a Middle Eastern Leader on a peace mission. Our favorite 24 TV show stars such as   Kiefer Sutherland, Cherry Jones, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Annie Wersching would make their return in the new season portraying their respective characters.

We have known and loved Kiefer Sutherland, as “Jack Bauer” on our favorite detective tv show ‘24′. The actor, who has knack for being in controversies, is in the news again. And this time, it is due to a fight that he supposedly had at a public place. To learn more, go through the following write up!

Kiefer surrendered in front of the New York Police, on 7 May, for hitting the fashion designer Jack McCollough, with his head. As a result the fashion designer received an injury to his nose. The incident took place at Mercer Hotel in SoHo, after a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Reportedly, Sutherland was enraged with McCollough, as the latter stepped between him and model/actress Brook Shields, while they were chatting at the hotel bar. After Sutherland commented about the strange behavior of the fashion designer, he went ahead and broke his nose.

This is not the first time that Sutherland has been arrested. Nearly two years ago, on 25 September 2007, he was arrested for misdemeanor drunk driving charges. He had been arrested before that also, in another incidence in 2004, when he had to undergo a field Sobriety test.

He had failed the test, as it exceeded the legal blood alcohol limit, permitted by the state. He was later released on bail of $25,000. However, he had to spend 48 days in the jail, as he pleaded no contest to the charges leveled against him by DUI.

It is hard to say, what would be the consequences of his present acts, but it is being speculated that he might face misdemeanor charges once again. We can just pray that he gets out without having to face much serious consequences, for his actions.

‘Slumdog Millionaire’, the recent Bollywood hit, has opened new doors for its star cast and everybody is riding high on the stupendous success of the movie. Just a few days ago, we were told that Dev Patel, the 18 year old British actor, would make an appearance on Avatar: The Last Airbender movie. And now, it’s the turn of Anil Kapoor. Anil, one of the most successful Bollywood actors, is approached to host the very popular American TV show 24. Anil’s radiant performance as a reality show host on Slumdog Millionaire has made him a worthy candidate for the same role on 24. As per the latest news released, Anil Kapoor would be appearing on the new season of series, the one which is likely to be premiered in May, 2009.

Anil Kapoor’s appearance on ‘24′ would mark the beginning of his journey in the international entertainment world. 100% probability is there that Anil would say a ‘yeah’. I guess, the actor would surely like to be a part of a show which has won a number of awards including the most popular Emmy and Golden Globe Awards also. And, it’d also help him to carry his ‘Slumdog’ avatar forward. The man is known for playing safe so forecasting anything would be not ‘okay’. Words of one of his close friends “The modalities are being worked out. Anil is very kicked about this offer.” As of now, it’s not apparent what he has said. Yeah, one thing more, before I leave. Fox Network has recently announced that 24 has achieved carbon neutral status. ‘Carbon Neutral’ status means that the show will do best to reduce its impact on global warming.

Shot on locations in South Africa and Los Angeles, the film promises to bridge the gap between season six and season seven along with kicking off your Thanksgiving week with an exceptionally large dose of pure adrenaline.

The movie, ‘24: Redemption’ opens with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) busy in missionary work in a school in Africa when an urgent international crisis cuts short his philanthropic endeavors. In Africa, a ruthless and vile warlord is drafting young boys into the ranks of his private militia against their consent. Bauer is the only person who can end this atrocious practice. But he is also needed back at home where a vulnerable America is preparing to welcome its next president (Cherry Jones as Allison Taylor). Criminal mastermind Jonas Hodges (Jon Voight) must be stopped at all costs from using international politics as his playground. Easier said than done, Bauer has to make some of the hardest choices he has known to stop him in his tracks.

I won’t disclose anything more as I don’t want to hazard anyone passing out at the computer and miss the real excitement. Trust me my friends, the movie is awesome but the million dollar question is whether you are ready for ‘24: Redemption’ or are you an unpatriotic wimp. 24: Redemption airs on Fox Sunday, November 23 at 8:00 p.m. Watch the series‘ seventh season beginning Sunday, January 11, at 8:00 p.m.

I have plethora of good news for “24’ fans today. As you guys know that the production of the seventh season has went on hiatus and may be now it won’t premier earlier than January 2009. I must tell you that the reason behind this hiatus is creators’ effort to zest up the series for new season. Now, we are definitely gonna receive something unique and relish in the upcoming season. The creators are going through the scripts once again to close down every loophole to prevent entertainment to peep out. Well after more than a year long wait, viewers deserve this.

There will be lot many changes in the new season to enchant the viewers. You can also call it the unique way of saying sorry to the fans. Now I must make you aware of the menu of your treat. Some of your favorite old stars from the show will be back. Now, hold your heart, there will be some new faces as well. Now Elisha Cuthbert’s re-entry to the show is confirmed. She’s coming as Jack Bauer’s daughter. The new faces will be Clea Bowden and Alan Wilson. Clea will play attorney for the bad guy Jonas (Jon Voight). Whereas Alan is playing an extremely wealthy man, who’s powerful and influential and his role is really gonna give tough competition to Jonas. May be we will encounter two power confronting in seventh season, who knows????

Great news! The two hour sequel movie of 24 is just month and a half away now. You know what? Now the title of the movie has been changed as 24-Redemption from 24-Exile. In one writer’s opinion redemption depicts the content of the movie better than the exile. Nonetheless this is more appealing. Apparently Jack Bauer will be seen searching for redemption in “Redemption”. I have also heard that the name has been changed because writers think that Redemption is a positive intension whereas Exile secretes negative vibes. Whatever I am glad that now a little time is left in arrival of both movie and the season seven of “24” series.

Hey did you notice, this is the rare successful series which has seen six seasons and is bringing up the seventh one after more than one year of period. Despite this nobody has forgot the series. Reviews and previews are going on with full fervor. People are making speculations about the new season as well as the movie. The news sites are full with updates and cast additions in the series. Fox network is also set to pull out previews for “24-Redemption” soon. The exact time is not confirmed. Recently a special screening of the movie was held in Los Angeles by Fox and that kicked off a few reviews.

Most of the reviews are positive thank God and we are definitely not going to waste our two hours and money for the movie. The reviews say that jack Bauer will show up partially in the first half of the movie but in the second half he will emerge with a bang! Fully in action and heating up the things like Jack’s habit is.

The movie is coming before the season seven and who knows it’s a warm up for the season. I am just waiting to have a glimpse of Jack’s action. Only he has the caliber of filling three hour action pack into one episode. Ah! Bring him soon, I am waiting.

24, the two hour Prequel movie about season 7 has been shown partially at comic con recently. It is coming in November and the seventh season will hit the screens in January 2009. As per the buddy TV reports, six to seven minute long footage was shown at comic con revealing what you should expect from this upcoming TV movie.

Thank God it’s coming back, as some previous rumors were saying, that it will not come back. Also news were here about season 7 delay, showing that due to writer’s strike the seventh season has been delayed until one year.

Here are many wonderful things about the upcoming season, as Tony who had died in the arms of Bauer will be again alive in the seventh season; Jack will be found in the streets of Africa; we will see him battling with young kids, as his mission is to prevent them from becoming child soldiers. So, this is the main storyline of the seventh season.

Well, the co-operation and understanding of Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) and Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) is amazing. They look cool together and they had to be together throughout the series. Tony is a kina guy who adds some fun to the situations when he is with serious kind of guy, Jack. Jack is always intensely indulged into his work and doesn’t think it right to enjoy a bit while on work. What you call him loyal or boring, no matter … its just a point of view, and he’s the life factor of the series.

On the other hand, I equally like Tony’s character, and was very much frustrated when he was died in the last season. My grudge was about why they guys kick out the best entertainers from the show in the middle, and why they don’t care what fans do want??

Not only us, even the actors did doubt upon the re-entry of Tony that how will he become alive again. They didn’t tell anything about this in comic con but yes Keifer did say that the writers explained the situation to them and they are happy that Tony’s back. The season will take long yet so I’ll prefer to watch the previous episodes till then, instead of confusing myself.

So at last after the years long rumor game, now we can surely say that 24 season seven is coming. What’s up after four years and six seasons. Be cool because something is always better than nothing. Now in season seven, Chloe’s baby will be three to four year old instead of being a new born. Also, the new president won’t be as new as previously thought. Perhaps, she will have an important part to play in season 7’s plot. Watch your Jack again pushing the troubles away.

Now we are expecting the future story from the season seven and I think it must be 2014. Jack must have turned old behind our eyes. First time when Jack Bauer appeared he was 35 and now he will be 47 to 48 years old. Means he will equal the age of Kiefer Sutherland’s age in the season one. The season seven is going to premier in January of 2009 and in addition the Prequel, set and shot primarily in South Africa, will be aired on November 23.

I am personally among the one who are very eagerly waiting for the new season. Though I missed many of its episodes partially, but still as much as I watched, I loved it and it is still safe in my memory.

Our mastermind of computer technology, Miss Chloe is going to give birth to a child in her real life. Apparently, its’ a  happy news for her, but not satisfactory for her fans. She’ll appear in just a few episodes of 24’s seventh season and will say bye to series after that. Her departure may not be good for series but someone is here who can definitely replace her. After all the CTU requires another her kind of master mind who will hack into building’s security systems and will save the lives of CTU people while fighting against terror.

When this show was first aired in November 2001,  I was not aware about it and I didn’t watch its pilot episode also. Now I’ve watched it for many times from this site. How do I come to know about 24, actually I was told by my school friend that some show based upon terrorism has started and she also told me about the plot. Finally, it made me curious to watch the show and I liked it to the extent that after that I am watching it regularly.
