For all the fans of ‘24’, I have very exciting news. While the official season of ‘24’ may not begin till January 2009, but FOX has a special treat for the Bauer hungry fans in the form of two hour long film called- 24: Redemption. Shot on locations in South Africa and Los Angeles, the film promises to bridge the gap between season six and season seven along with kicking off your Thanksgiving week with an exceptionally large dose of pure adrenaline.

The movie, ‘24: Redemption’ opens with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) busy in missionary work in a school in Africa when an urgent international crisis cuts short his philanthropic endeavors. In Africa, a ruthless and vile warlord is drafting young boys into the ranks of his private militia against their consent. Bauer is the only person who can end this atrocious practice. But he is also needed back at home where a vulnerable America is preparing to welcome its next president (Cherry Jones as Allison Taylor). Criminal mastermind Jonas Hodges (Jon Voight) must be stopped at all costs from using international politics as his playground. Easier said than done, Bauer has to make some of the hardest choices he has known to stop him in his tracks.

I won’t disclose anything more as I don’t want to hazard anyone passing out at the computer and miss the real excitement. Trust me my friends, the movie is awesome but the million dollar question is whether you are ready for ‘24: Redemption’ or are you an unpatriotic wimp. 24: Redemption airs on Fox Sunday, November 23 at 8:00 p.m. Watch the series‘ seventh season beginning Sunday, January 11, at 8:00 p.m.

I have plethora of good news for “24’ fans today. As you guys know that the production of the seventh season has went on hiatus and may be now it won’t premier earlier than January 2009. I must tell you that the reason behind this hiatus is creators’ effort to zest up the series for new season. Now, we are definitely gonna receive something unique and relish in the upcoming season. The creators are going through the scripts once again to close down every loophole to prevent entertainment to peep out. Well after more than a year long wait, viewers deserve this.

There will be lot many changes in the new season to enchant the viewers. You can also call it the unique way of saying sorry to the fans. Now I must make you aware of the menu of your treat. Some of your favorite old stars from the show will be back. Now, hold your heart, there will be some new faces as well. Now Elisha Cuthbert’s re-entry to the show is confirmed. She’s coming as Jack Bauer’s daughter. The new faces will be Clea Bowden and Alan Wilson. Clea will play attorney for the bad guy Jonas (Jon Voight). Whereas Alan is playing an extremely wealthy man, who’s powerful and influential and his role is really gonna give tough competition to Jonas. May be we will encounter two power confronting in seventh season, who knows????

The next surprise will really cheer you up. Jack and Tony will be together again…….yeah Tony is coming back. See as I told above, “24” is really coming up with a baggage full of surprises. Get ready for their entertainment attack.

Great news! The two hour sequel movie of 24 is just month and a half away now. You know what? Now the title of the movie has been changed as 24-Redemption from 24-Exile. In one writer’s opinion redemption depicts the content of the movie better than the exile. Nonetheless this is more appealing. Apparently Jack Bauer will be seen searching for redemption in “Redemption”. I have also heard that the name has been changed because writers think that Redemption is a positive intension whereas Exile secretes negative vibes. Whatever I am glad that now a little time is left in arrival of both movie and the season seven of “24” series.

Hey did you notice, this is the rare successful series which has seen six seasons and is bringing up the seventh one after more than one year of period. Despite this nobody has forgot the series. Reviews and previews are going on with full fervor. People are making speculations about the new season as well as the movie. The news sites are full with updates and cast additions in the series. Now, the trailers of the movie are also on the floor.

Fox network is also set to pull out previews for “24-Redemption” soon. The exact time is not confirmed. Recently a special screening of the movie was held in Los Angeles by Fox and that kicked off a few reviews.

Most of the reviews are positive thank God and we are definitely not going to waste our two hours and money for the movie. The reviews say that jack Bauer will show up partially in the first half of the movie but in the second half he will emerge with a bang! Fully in action and heating up the things like Jack’s habit is.

The movie is coming before the season seven and who knows it’s a warm up for the season. I am just waiting to have a glimpse of Jack’s action. Only he has the caliber of filling three hour action pack into one episode. Ah! Bring him soon, I am waiting.

The 24 is an advanced, suspenseful, acclaimed and real time action thriller series which has been nominated for a total of 57 Emmy awards. 24 gained Outstanding Drama series (2006) and Outstanding Lead Actor in a drama series for its star Kiefer Sutherland. Each episode covers an hour in a single day and each season takes place within one 24 hour period.

Jack Bauer, the hero, a daring and durable agent for the fictitious US intelligent body- The CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit), is attempting to stop the assassination of a presidential candidate. Jack Bauer is an agent for whom each day is much more terrifying than the last one.

After the return of a former colleague and CIA Agent Tony Almeida, Bauer’s day takes an unwanted and surprising turn. Other characters on series are, President who leads the country beside White House Chief of staff Ethan Kanin and first gentleman Henry Taylor ; Kim Bauer, Jack’s troubled teenage daughter.
