Season 2
Season 2’s opening episode ‘Day 2: 8:00 A.M-9:00 A.M’ was aired on 10-29-2002. Each season of this series means a day and first day is over as season 1 is over. Season 2-cum- day 2 begins exactly after one year. Jack Bauer has been out of the commission. His wife is dead and he’ also estranged from his daughter Kim. Currently, Kim is working as an au pair. Jack is not interested to return back but agrees when is requested personally by Palmer. Season 2 begins with a tragedy.
The situation is that a nuclear bomb has been planted by the terrorists somewhere in the New York City and have plans to detonate it within the next 24 hours. Jack finds out that the way to find the bomb lies with a group of American terrorists whom he has passed through once before. George locates the ware house where the bomb was built and an unexpected tragedy happens. Paula, a badly injured guy is having vital information so George orders the docs to revive him. The re-appearance of his ex-wife Sherry makes Palmer surprised. Kim and Miguel do have the plans to kidnap Megan from the hospital. Both got arrested and police took them to LA. Mysteries happen, twists occur and season 2 comes to an end with the episode ‘Day 2: 7: 00 A.M. - 8:00 A.M.’. Sherry and Jack are planning for a meeting with the head of the war conspiracy. Kate and her father have a final, ominous conversation with Marie. Palmer’s lawyer has an evidence involving Kingsley and he convinces Mike to release Palmer. Mike orders Chappelle to reinstate Tony and Michelle.
Season’s #1 Episode- Day 2: 10:00 P.M-11:00 P.M.
Where the bomb should be disposed off? Palmer, Mike and Lynne are looking for the answer to this question. Finally, they decide that desert is the best place. Jack decides to pilot the plane containing the bomb. Palmer departs for Los Angeles. Tony and the CTU staff analyze personal effects from Syed Aliís safe house.
